Dr. Janice Bloink

Janice M. Bloink, DCDr. Janice Bloink graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 1977. Her interest in Chiropractic Medicine led her to one of the top Chiropractic schools in the nation, the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1983.

Both she and her husband, Jim, wanted to find a small-town location to open a practice where they could also become a part of their community and raise children. They chose Scottsville.

The practice opened in 1984, and in 1986 they moved from their first office in the original Allen County Florist Building to their present location on Locust Street.

Dr. Jan's practice is a full service chiropractic office with x-ray capability, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation services. She continues to keep up with the latest forms of medicine and technology thru her membership with the American Chiropractic Association. She is Advanced-Proficiency rated with the Activator method of adjusting. This special procedure uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek and correct joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care.

In addition, she has become a Backsafe Injury Prevention Specialist where she consults with corporations in and around Scottsville to educate employers on potential back injury employee functions and prevention.

Dr. Jan knows the people of this community and understands the potential hazards of farming, gardening, factory work, and job stress and how they affect a person's body. She feels very strong about the quality of care she gives her patients. She'll often recommend preventative care treatments as additional treatment options Janice M. Bloink, DCto make sure her patients are able to continue a healthy active lifestyle.

Dr. Jan and her husband, Dr. Jim, have always called Scottsville their home. Their two children, Carrie and Andrew, were born and raised in Scottsville and have now moved on pursuing their own careers. She stongly believes in giving back to the community. Dr. Jan always volunteered with her children's school activities, Boy Scouts, and the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce, where she has helped with the Christmas parade for over 20 years. In 2013 she was selected as the Small Business of the Year by the Chamber. In addition, she maintains an active role with Rotary International and served as President from 2011-2012. She has obtained a Master Gardner certification with the Allen County Extension Agency and is a founding member and past president of the Master Gardener Association.
